Welcome

We’re glad you’ve taken the time to learn a little about one of Melbourne’s newest, most progressive and relevant Churches. While our faith is based on a book that’s thousands of years old, we have created a culture, an environment and a communication style which is not only relevant in 2010, but we believe, necessary for today’s world.

While we believe and teach the Gospel message, we also believe that church is a place to live, laugh, love and learn. Please take a few minutes to stroll through our site and learn some more about Compass Church

VISION SUNDAY - VERY EXCITING!

AND LIFE GROUPS START THIS WEEK - WOW, WHAT A WEEK!

Please click on the Life Groups link just to the right in the events section to find out locations and any other info you may need to get connected this week.  OR, you can email us on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with your questions - they are always welcome!

THIS SUNDAY we begin our VISION MONTH with a bang and I am sooooooo excited about what God has for Compass Church this year.  Come along and hear about the 3 key focus areas we are challenged to make a priority and also be the first to hear of our new initiatives and developments.  None of what we will present is possible in our own strength and we want to be a church that pleases God so what it required is FAITH!

Faith, like hope, is a mysterious thing and something we all have a measure of.  What are you doing with the faith you have?  How will your faith stretch you this year and what will the results be in December 2010?  PLEASE BRING your dreams/ goals/ desires for 2010 and we will be praying for you at the end of the service to see them and more come to pass.  I am sure that when we combine our faith and your faith it pleases God and GREAT things will happen.

Have a great week, Dream BIG!

WHAT DOES "HOPE" MEAN?

DO YOU HAVE A DEFINITION WE SHOULD HEAR ABOUT?

Maybe you have an acrostic style definition or one that has come out of your own experience.  IF YOU HAVE, THEN PLEASE EMAIL ME ON This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

HOPE is almost as mysterious as FAITH.  I simply hold to the age old saying "I have faith for today and hope for tomorrow".  Lately I have come to realise more and more that there will be stuff in life that we probably won't get a suitable intellectual answer/ reason for.  This led me to think that if I could work it out and get a rock solid answer to all my questions then there would be no need for faith and no hope for a supernatural life now or for eternity.

THIS SUNDAY WE finish our series "Our God is Good" and we explore the topic that God provides, sustains and delivers on the hope He promised.  If you are struggling with life stuff at the moment or want to be encouraged on your journey then please come along.  We HOPE to see you there.

Have a great week

IT IS FOR FREEDOM JESUS DIED!

BUT WHAT IS REAL FREEDOM?

The more people I talk to, and maybe it's got a bit to do with getting older, I get confronted with those who know there potentially is a better way of living life BUT for some reason they aren't quite sure they want to count the cost.  What that cost is will be different for everyone BUT people most often associate change with losing something.  Some people think if I start to take my life down this other path then I will "miss out'  and "lose out" for some reason.

YET, Jesus came down from heaven, lived an incredible life, died a historic death and then supernaturally rose again 3 days later.  He did all of this so YOU and I can have the option to CHOOSE what he states as LIFE TO THE FULL, a life of FREEDOM!

THIS SUNDAY SCOTT HAWKINS from Careforce Church will present some keys that could possibly HELP YOU to start living life totally differently and dare I say "TOTALLY FREE".  I hope you can make it and enjoy some pretty special music, people, coffee and as already mentioned a great friend and speaker.

Have a great week
